On May 15 and 16, 2023, the Committee on Non-governmental Organizations of United Nations Economic and Social Council made a special consideration to deliberate the application for special consultative status submitted by Beijing International Exchange Association at UN general Assembly in New York.

The success of the Beijing International Exchange Association in obtaining consultative status marks the transition of our Association's work from regional cooperation to the global stage, and provides an important way for further systematic participation in the United Nations global governance system.
