The Beijing International Exchange Association (BIEA), a prominent organization in fostering international cooperation and exchange, is delighted to announce its recent triumph in securing its third project under the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) framework. This accomplishment underscores BIEA's ongoing commitment to enhancing cross-border collaboration and technological empowerment within the APEC region.
The new project, which focuses on APEC Technology Empowers Low Carbon Action (TELCA), aims to promote regional energy conservation and carbon reduction for its outsized contribution to global emissions. As with its previous successful APEC projects, BIEA will play a crucial role in overseeing the project’s implementation, ensuring the highest standards of research, collaboration, and outcome delivery.
"Our team is honored and excited to embark on this new journey with APEC," said Dr. Jieni Guo, Secretary-General at the Beijing International Exchange Association. "Securing this project is a testament to our sustained efforts in promoting meaningful dialogue and exchange among APEC economies. We are dedicated to driving this project towards achieving significant milestones that will contribute to the broader goals of economic growth and sustainable development in the region."
The BIEA has been recognized for its effective management and facilitation of international projects, particularly in areas related to technological cooperation and empowerment. This third APEC project further cements the Association’s position as a leading facilitator in international exchange and cooperation within the Asia-Pacific region.
This project is set to commence in January 2024 and will involve the research and workshops. The BIEA is committed to working closely with various stakeholders, including government bodies, private sector entities, and academic institutions across the APEC economies, to ensure the project’s success.
The Beijing International Exchange Association extends its gratitude to APEC for entrusting it with this significant project and to all the supporting member economies for their continuous faith in BIEA's capabilities.
