In May, the Beijing International Exchange Association (BIEA) officially joined the International Telecommunication Union Development Sector (ITU-D) as an Associate Member.  

ITU is the United Nations specialized agency for information and communication technologies, and its Development Sector (ITU-D) is committed to bridging the global digital divide and supporting digital transformation in developing countries. This accession signifies further recognition of BIEA's role in global digital governance.  

BIEA stated that it will leverage this platform to actively contribute in areas such as promoting digital inclusion, cybersecurity, and leveraging technology for sustainable development, while strengthening international exchange and cooperation.
