The establishment of the platform reflects BIEA’s long-term engagement in international scientific and technological collaboration. Leveraging this designation, BIEA will focus on strengthening cooperation with BRICS countries, emerging economies, and developing countries, and promoting international collaboration in key emerging technology fields. The platform aims to support international innovation practice and contribute to coordinated development in science and technology cooperation.

Since 2022, BIEA has served as a long-term supporting institution for international science and technology cooperation mechanisms, laying a solid foundation for multilateral collaboration. The approval of the Beijing International Science and Technology Cooperation Base represents concrete recognition of the Association’s sustained efforts in building cooperative networks and advancing international science and technology partnerships.

The platform, led by Dr. Guo Jieni, Secretary-General of BIEA, leverages a professional international team and comprehensive administrative system to provide efficient support for global science and technology cooperation. Looking ahead, it will continue to deepen multilateral collaboration, foster practical cooperation and knowledge exchange, share the “Beijing Model”, and enhance China’s influence and voice in global science and technology governance.
