On 16 July 2025, BIEA co-hosted with the China NGO Network for International Exchanges (CNIE) and other partners a thematic side event titled "Empowering the Marginalized: Inclusive and Evidence-Based Pathways for Achieving Transformative Development in Emerging Countries" in New York.

The event brought together UN Permanent Representatives from multiple countries, leaders of international organizations, think tank experts and youth representatives. Discussions focused on inclusive partnerships, women and youth empowerment, and sustainable development practices in emerging economies, highlighting the innovative roles of Chinese social organizations in global governance.
