The "Asia-Europe Young Scientists Open Science Salon," hosted by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and organized by the Beijing International Exchange Association, was successfully held online in Beijing from July 20 to 21, 2022.
The event was co-organized by the Committee on Data (CODATA), Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) of Malaysia, Athena Research and Innovation Center of Greece, and the European Open Science Infrastructure Research Alliance.
With support from the BRICS Platform for Enhancing Scientific Capacity and Innovation Cooperation, young researchers from China, Russia, Germany, and other countries were invited to engage in discussions on topics such as open access, research ethics, and cross-border data sharing.
The event aimed to promote young scientific talents' understanding and practice of open science, and to support the creation of an inclusive and trustworthy international research environment.
