The 2024 Annual Meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) bore the theme Towards Science Without Walls. It was successfully held in Denver, Colorado, from February 15 to February 17. As the only Chinese civil society hosting scientific sessions for two consecutive years.

Beijing International Exchange Association (BIEA) is the only Chinese civil society that has participated in this international event twice.  The organization contributed many constructive insights at the meeting, making a strong Chinese voice.  

The scientific session, titled Advancing DEI in Science and Technology for Underrepresented Groups, discussed and explored results, challenges, and strategies to empower underrepresented groups in the field of science and technology. The speakers Ana Cristina F. Amoroso das Neves, Chen Jin, and Isabel Bortagaray brought insights and cases from the United Nations, Uruguay, and China; providing audiences with a platform to share knowledge and engage in meaningful conversations.
