On December 5, the thematic forum of Regional Practices and Visions for Building Science Popularization Capacity at the 2024 World Conference on Science Literacy was held in Beijing. This Forum focused on key topics such as the construction of science popularization infrastructure, the training of science popularization talents, the development of science popularization resources, and the technological means of science communication, aiming to explore how to effectively promote the science popularization capacity building of different regions and populations, and further bridge the gap in science literacy.
By inviting a total of 13 experts from China, Malaysia, Portugal, Thailand, India, Myanmar, South Africa, and Australia to participate in discussions and exchanges on various topics, this event significantly enhanced the national and regional science popularization capabilities. It not only provided valuable insights and experiences for global science popularization capacity building but also facilitated the establishment of bridges for promoting science popularization exchanges and cooperation among different countries and regions.
